Terms & Conditions
When you decide to use Happy Pootjes Dog Walking Service, it is important to read our terms and conditions in advance.
Article 1 - Applicability of the conditions and conclusion of the agreement
1.1 The following General Terms and Conditions apply to the agreement, unless there is explicitly deviated from in writing.
1.2 The current general terms and conditions as stated below are in force on 1st March 2025.
1.3 Only Dutch law applies to the agreement between the Client and Happy Pootjes.
Article 2 - Happy Pootjes
2.1 The dog(s) is picked up at agreed time slot and delivered back to the agreed address by Happy Pootjes.
2.2 Happy Pootjes cannot be classified as the owner of the dog.
2.3 Happy Pootjes undertakes to carefully store the house key given by the Client and use it solely to pickup and drop off the dog. Happy Pootjes is not liable for any damage as a result of loss or theft of the house key.
2.4 Happy Pootjes reserves the right to refuse dog(s) (in advance) if they believe that the dog(s) can be a problem/danger within and outside the group walk.
2.5 Happy Pootjes reserves the right if the assignment cannot be carried out because of unsafe weather conditions such as snow, ice, storm, thunder and extreme warmth to cancel, adjust the assignment.
Article 3 - Client
3.1 The Client undertakes to ensure that Happy Pootjes has access to the place where the dog is located. If Happy Pootjes is unable to take the dog because it is not possible to reach the place, then Happy Pootjes will immediately inform the Client.
3.2 The Client will inform Happy Pootjes as soon as possible about any diseases and/or abnormalities, heat… of the dog.
3.3 The Client authorizes Happy Pootjes to, if necessary, provide medical care to the dog at the expense of the Client. If it turns out that a medical procedure is needed, this will first be discussed with the Client. The dog will be brought to the closest vet at that time, unless otherwise indicated by the Client.
3.4 Holidays of the Client must be communicated in writing at least 2 weeks in advance.
Article 4 - Liability
4.1 The Client is expected to provide fair and correct informations about the behavior and health of the dog to which the agreement applies. If it appears that incorrect information has been provided by the Client, Happy Pootjes reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately.
Article 5- Payment conditions
5.1 For monthly subscription, it guarantees the Client a fixed, reserved walk on the agreed day(s) per week for 46 weeks per year.
Holidays of Happy Pootjes have already been calculated in the price as being 6 weeks a year and are communicated writing at least 1 month prior.
5.2 For an extra loose walk, if there is room, the separate rate applies to a separate walk.
5.3 The monthly subscription or loose walk(s) must be paid between the first and the third of the month.
In the event of non-payment Happy Pootjes reserves the right to no longer pick up the dog until payment is made.
5.4 Happy Pootjes has the right to adjust the rates and collection times during the duration of the agreement. The Client will be notified at least 4 weeks in advance. In case of price change, the new rate will be communicated to the Client before January 1.
6 - Cancellation
6.1 The Client can cancel a fixed reserved walk 48 hours in advance. This walk will not be deducted from the subscription rate, and can be rescheduled in consultation with Happy Pootjes.
The Client can cancel an extra separate walk free of charge, provided that this walk has been canceled at least 48 hours in advance.
6.2 In the event of a vacation/longer absence of the dog (longer than a day), the Client will inform Happy Pootjes at least 48 hours in advance in writing. These walks are not deducted from the subscription rate.
6.3 If the Client wants to structurally reduce the frequency of the walks, a change period of 1 full calendar month applies. Changes must be communicated in writting.
6.4 If the Client wants to cancel the subscription, a notice period of 1 full calendar month is asked, and must be communicated in writing.
Exceptional cases of immediate cancellation is death of the dog.
6.5 If the service cannot be offered by Happy Pootjes, for example through disease or unforeseen circumstances, weather conditions… the Client will be able to reschedule the walk in consultation with Happy Pootjes.
